Formula E’s “Tokyo E-Prix” double-header
The 14th & 15th round of the 2026 season.
Race 14
Dan Ticktum pulled off an unbelievable last lap overtake on Jake Dennis to win the opening race of Formula E’s Tokyo E-Prix.
The Briton led briefly mid-race and fell behind polesitter Dennis, before pulling off a stunning overtake with three corners remaining.
Dennis held on to finish in second and move into third in the championship, while Citroën’s Nick Cassidy completed the podium.
It was a disaster for Pascal Wehrlein who led the standings going into the race, with the German having retired after contact with Antonio Felix da Costa. Mitch Evans pulled off an excellent recovery from 16th to fourth, to reclaim the title lead.

Nyck de Vries secured a shock victory in a chaotic second race of Formula E’s Tokyo E-Prix, in what was a red-flagged race.
A red flag was flown with two laps remaining after a multi-car collision, in what was a wet-to-dry race that again favoured those that gambled on a dry set-up.
That included winner de Vries, while Nick Cassidy and Jake Dennis completed the podium, the latter taking the lead of the world championship.
Mitch Evans and Pascal Wehrlein suffered a disastrous race and finished in 17th and 15th, respectively. Oliver Rowland and Jean-Eric Vergne completed the top five.
